The rose also grows into a fruit. The fruit is called a Rose Hip. It is shaped like a berry and most are red in color but you can find black and dark purple versions.
Origin-The rose is according to fossil evidence 35 million years old. Garden cultivation of roses began some 5,000 years ago, probably in China.

Cut the stems at 45 degrees, about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
Remove the leaves below the waterline.
