July 23-August 22 is the season for the dynamic, enthusiastic, creative, and warmhearted individuals known as Leos. One such popular member of this Zodiac and perhaps the best entertainer of all times, Kishore Kumar, was gifted with some serious Leo energy himself. He could sing and dance, mimic and act, write and create, make you laugh and weep, and lived a life that defied all conventional norms like a true lion. Want to know what popular personality traits you might share with the legendary Kishore-da? Let us take you through them.
Kishore Kumar, like many creative men, was known for his eccentricity and passion in every aspect of his life. Despite the fact that his brother Ashok wished for him to follow in his footsteps and even helped him land several acting roles, Kumar went ahead to pursue his career in singing. The rest is history!
Given his lack of classical training, Kishore Kumar was confident enough to strive and become one of the most prolific vocalists in the Indian music industry. Apart from Hindi, he also performed in Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Odia, and Urdu.
Kishore-da, like any other businessman, knew when to pay his dues. He was a kind soul who helped those in need. He provided his actor-turned-producer buddy Bipin Gupta financial help for his 1964 film Dal Mein Kala and sent regular money to his other friend and actor Arun Kumar Mukherjee’s family after his death.
The earliest music directors were initially dismissive of him and told him his voice lacked a lot of qualities. However, Kumar didn’t let their comments push him down. He dedicatedly worked on his craft and changed their opinions, eventually giving them massive hits.
Kishore Kumar was a well-known multidimensional personality whose abilities extended beyond playback singing. Apart from being a stellar singer, he was also a composer, songwriter, actor, director, producer, and screenwriter.
