10 Things you should thank your Mom for

Mother- the word itself brings the feelings of love and compassion in our hearts. A mother is a figure in our lives who does everything to see us smile and grow. No matter how hard you try, you can never return the favour. But you can always express gratitude towards your mom with a simple Maa Tujhe Shukriya for doing a thousand things for you, without expecting anything in return.

Here is a list of ten things you should thank your mother for this Mother’s Day

For all the sacrifices your mom made for you

Thank her for keeping you safe in her womb for nine months and dealing with all the physical and emotional challenges that came with pregnancy.

For allowing you to make mistakes & learn

Thank her for teaching you all the wise things that helped you learn how to differentiate between the right and wrong.

For cheering you up during tough times

Thank her for dealing with your tantrums almost every day and making you laugh whenever you felt low or disheartened.

For working equally hard for your exams

Thank her for staying up late & getting up early in the morning during your exam times to make sure you had everything that you needed.

For slipping in an extra buck in your pocket every time you go away

Thank her for being so understanding and giving you the extra money that you could use in the time of dire need.

For putting your happiness before her own

Thank her for giving up on her dreams and desires a million times to make sure that you get all the happiness in the world.

For making you all those healthy meals, despite all your tantrums

Thank her for ensuring that you always ate healthy even when you strongly expressed your hatred for green veggies and salad.

For standing by your side, when none could

Thank her for her endless love & support in everything you did and never leaving your side even when the whole world turned its back on you.

For lying to your teacher that it was her fault and not yours

Thank her for being your friend and taking the blame for your mistakes in front of your teachers whenever you put yourself into deep trouble.

For acting like she doesn’t care when you were unhappy about moving away

Thank her for helping you move away from home in the pursuit of your dreams and behaving like she doesn’t care even when it was killing her from inside.
