‘When I was studying I went to Delhi to pursue my studies. I got admitted to a professional course, and I decided to pursue the course from Delhi as the Institute was renowned. My parents were worried that whether I would be able to live and manage everything alone. I was very confident, and I said, of course, I will. But, after one month of reaching Delhi, living in a hostel, actually made me realise the actual value of living with family. In the institute, I had a friend whom I used to call Didu. I clearly remember on Diwali she understood that I was missing my family badly and she invited me to her house. I was completely surprised when I reached there as she prepared a large feast for me. After the Diwali puja, we burnt soundless firecrackers, danced together, and had a wonderful dinner. I actually felt like I am with my family. The love I received from her family members made me feel at home. This lovely gesture made my Diwali day an unforgettable memory.’ -Puja
