Valentines Day

Lovelier than ever!

love-hearts

People say that love fades with time. Well, I have seen my granny and grandpa they have been together for the last 80 years and the love seem to have grown over the years. I like to see my granny, waking up every morning and getting ready to look the best for my grandpa.

The moment I see her I don’t see those wrinkles on her face which seem to have made her seem old, rather I see that young love that has seemed to make her face glow.

Almost everything about them, starting from the morning cup of tea which is usually followed by some lighted-hearted jokes, pulling each other legs and small conversations about cricket and politics which is usually my grandpa’s favourite topic to discuss.

Although, my granny has little or practically no knowledge about the same but just because she loved my grandpa so much so she participated actively. It always made me wonder whether love is all about liking each other’s choices, well if that holds true then it certainly wasn’t true in my granny’s case.

After, my close observation of my favourite couple, I understood one thing very clearly that old age is the best time to test love. You know and understand the individual in and out and get used to their shortcomings too which makes love so much stronger and it is no longer about physical appearances, each other likings, choices and preferences. It is just about getting used to each other and so has my granny and grandpa has got used to having each other by their side.

I think this is love, that no matter whatever happens but you still like the same person. So this Valentine’s Day, I have decided to send valentine’s gift to my granny on my grandpa’s behalf. I hope she will like it and maybe their love will step up to a whole new different level.
