{"id":7009,"date":"2025-04-18T15:35:53","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T10:05:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/?p=7009"},"modified":"2025-05-13T18:46:18","modified_gmt":"2025-05-13T13:16:18","slug":"recipe-of-butterless-sponge-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fnp.com\/blog\/recipe-of-butterless-sponge-cake","title":{"rendered":"Butterless Sponge Cake Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>What you Need for Butterless Sponge Cake?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>White Flour \u2013 3\/4<sup>th<\/sup> Cup<\/li>\n<li>Eggs \u2013 4<\/li>\n<li>Powdered Sugar or Castor Sugar \u2013 3\/4<sup>th<\/sup> Cup or as per taste<\/li>\n<li>Baking Powder \u2013 3\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp<\/li>\n<li>Vanilla Essence \u2013 3\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp<\/li>\n<li>Cake Tins \u2013 2 Round (8 inches)<\/li>\n<li>Oven Temperature \u2013 204-degree Centigrade or 400 degrees Fahrenheit<\/li>\n<li>Butter Paper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>How to Make a Butterless Sponge Cake?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Firstly, cut the butter paper as per the diameter of the cake tin and keep it inside the tin followed by greasing the tin. Sprinkle some flour\/sugar over it and dust off the excess.<\/li>\n<li>Break eggs one by one in a cup and then transfer it to a large mixing bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Now in this mixing bowl, add vanilla essence, powdered sugar, and baking powder and beat very well. You have to keep beating until you reach a light and foamy texture.<\/li>\n<li>Now, very tactfully, you have to fold the white flour into this mixture. Don\u2019t pour the 3\/4<sup>th<\/sup> cup of flour all at a time. Take one tablespoon of flour with a spatula and give downward, upward, and outward strokes gently. Continue till the said amount of flour is folded well in the egg mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Divide this cake batter into two tins.<\/li>\n<li>Hollow out the center by pushing the batter from the center towards the sides. So, the cake would be thicker outside than the center.<\/li>\n<li>Place both the tins in a pre-heated oven and let it bake for at least 15-20 minutes. The Butterless Sponge Cake is almost done when you notice that the sides started to shrink from the edge of the tin.<\/li>\n<li>Or you may try the age-old technique of inserting a skewer or knife in the center.
