This colleague had been asking me out, but we could never really match our watches. Then came Valentine\u2019s Day, and we decided- yes why not? It was indeed one of the best dates of my life. The First Date is a lot of pressure, imagine the pressure you would have if you went on your first date on Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some tips of what to do and what not to do if you have your first date with someone on Valentine\u2019s:<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Do not make a big deal out of it<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12924\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1-5.gif\" alt=\"advice\" width=\"539\" height=\"387\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While couples out there already have grand ideas to celebrate and are so in love, you need to understand that you two are meeting for your first date. It can not be a fairy tale Valentine\u2019s Day. Make sure you both talk about it thoroughly before meeting up.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Plan a fun date<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12926 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/2-5.gif\" alt=\"advice\" width=\"536\" height=\"224\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Attend a concert, bowling or maybe just eat someplace casual. But make sure it is something you both enjoy, you don\u2019t really have to go for something really fancy.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Don\u2019t talk about your Ex<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12927 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/3-5.gif\" alt=\"advice\" width=\"535\" height=\"301\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is natural to have a flashback of memories on Valentine\u2019s Day. But you don\u2019t have to talk about that your date. If you do, bet you will not have a second date!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Give them a simple gift<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12928 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/4-4.gif\" alt=\"advice\" width=\"534\" height=\"364\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be a cheapskate and buy them just a card. Gift them something simple like a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fnp.com\/forever-roses-lp\">forever rose<\/a>, a bag or a beautiful bunch of roses and chocolates as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fnp.com\/gifts\/valentines-day-lp\">Valentine&#8217;s day Gifts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Do not go all grand<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12929 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/5-5.gif\" alt=\"advice\" width=\"535\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t go really grand by showering them with gifts, and spend way too much. Avoid using your phone as much as you can. Do not rush with things, give your date proper time and enjoy every moment of it.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Do not judge them<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12931 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/7-4.gif\" alt=\"advice\" width=\"537\" height=\"302\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Understand that Valentine\u2019s and first date together can be a lot of pressure, and it is very easy to goof up. Give your partner some time, and hear them out before you make any judgments.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Dress Appropriately<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12932 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fnp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/8-4.gif\" alt=\"advice\" width=\"538\" height=\"538\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Wear something nice but not too shiny. Don\u2019t go for something too casual, or something too fancy. A floral dress and sneakers would work for girls.
